2019 Empower to Connect Conference
Time & Location
About the Event
The Empowered to Connect Conference is a two-day conference not only for adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders, and professionals, but also parents and educators who deal with any children who come from hard places and it is designed to help them to connect with the children in order to help them heal and become what they were created to be.
Led by the TCU Institure of Child Development, the conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, counselors, therapists, church staff and ministry leaders and others all involved in adoptive and foster care ministries or services. It is also designed for parents and educators who work with children from hard places, not only adoption and fostering.
Training Credits: Each adoptive and foster parent will receive a certificate of attendance. The certificates will be handed out at the end of each day, per parent. Attendees are responsible for providing the certificate to their agency, and it is at the agency’s discretion whether or not to count participation toward training credits. To be eligible with your agency to receive training credits, each participant will need to turn in to their agency a copy of each certificate and it is beneficial to also provide them the schedule of the conference. There is no need to sign up for adoptive/foster training credit.
The event will be hosted by Hope 4 One Ministries and held locally in Cleveland, TN at the Journey Church. The conference will be on April 5 & 6th from 10am - 6pm both days. Light snacks and lunch will be provided, as well as child care for the event. Email us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
